Healthy Business Philosophy

Real Words To Live By

Ethics:

Live by honesty and trust.  It’s the foundation for healthy long term relationships.

Feel good about yourself and work; Sleeping better; Etc.

Studies show creativity flourishes best in a trusting environment.

Practice a zero tolerance policy for others playing under handed games against ourselves or other Partners. One act of bad faith can destroy trust.

Reliability:

Only make commitments you can keep.

Have one foot on the ground while reaching for the stars.  Responsibility is the foundation upon which we gain the strength to innovate.

Trust:

We would attract more business if we like most other businesses painted a rosier picture without our many notes of caution.  We prefer fewer Partners if this nurtures genuine relationships.

Trust is an especially important issues, as a portion of our business relationships are with others at a distance, and with parties we may not always have the opportunity of meeting.

Studies Show Creativity Is Nurtured Through Positive Thinking:

Nurture new ideas.  Studies on imagination prove over and over again that skepticism is the main element inhibiting creativity.  Let your inner youth temporarily take over.  Collect all your playful ideas, at a later time, screen them for viability, saving the best.

Thrill Of Being A Risk Taker:

”If you are looking for perfect safety, you will do well to sit on a fence and watch the birds.”  Co-inventor of the airplane.

The terms innovators and risk takers are synonymous.

High profits can come from smart risk taking.

Minimize Miss-Interpretation:

Avoid upset or anger through mis-communication. Verbal statements in the creative world might be considered by the speaker only as brainstorming!

It’s easy to misunderstand or forget what one said.  This is why we must only agree to what was put in writing. No exceptions!

Talk out misunderstandings, rather than let it explode.

Goals:

Making profits is important.  Also remember the pleasures from having good working relationships with others.

Think Long Term:

Try to seriously work together towards a long term relationship.  If something comes up, try to solve it.

Background Checks:

Carefully check the backgrounds of those you hire and work with.  Avoid later head aches, and possible fraud. Don’t presume others working with the same party have checked their background.

Have they a history of hassling others through their lawyers?  Check court records in the jurisdictions in which they work, live, etc.

Copycats Infringing On Your Patent:

Courts often award triple the actual damages.

Attorneys can give you the details. If funds are lacking to cover a law suit, consider giving an attorney a share of your winnings.

We have other creative strategies you can consider.
